For Christmas this year, I made these dolls for the five little kidlets of my nieces and nephews.
They are quite sweet. Not perfect. But sweet none-the-less.
Now down to details:
I used this pattern from BlackApple (Etsy & Blog)UPDATE 2016: I no longer use this pattern as I have made up my own.
- Took inspiration from my softies & dolls board on pinterest.
- I did not hand sew anything apart from the closure at the end. Sewing was done at a 1.5 stitch length.
- I embroidered the eyes using this technique and the freckles using this stitch and the mouths using this stitch.
The pattern is not awesome for my slapstick sewing style, but the imperfections in the dolls are what makes them cute. I am planning on drafting up the alterations I made (and the additions) and popping it up in the next few weeks for people to use.
Hope you like it.
What did you make for Christmas?
